Windlass Chain
Windlass chain is calibrated to fit the chain wheel, or gypsy, on a windlass. Link size, pitch, and chain standard matter, and chain should never be chosen by diameter alone.
Choose windlass chain when replacing existing chain or building a rode for a boat with a windlass. Confirm the windlass manufacturer’s chain requirement before ordering.
